CORNWALL TORY MPs OPPOSE EU VOTE FOR 16-17 YEAR 0LDS

All six Tory MPs for Cornwall opposed the Lords proposal of votes for sixteen and seventeen year olds in the EU referendum. Sarah Newton was a teller for the opponents.

In a similar vote on 18 June 2015 the six voted against an EU referendum vote for sixteen and seventeen year olds. In the Lords on 18 November 2015 the four Liberal Democrats from Cornwall, Paul Tyler, Judith Jolly, Matthew Taylor, and Robin Teverson, voted for EU referendum votes at 16 as did Labour’s Tony Berkeley.
