CORNWALL MPs AND THE EU BUDGET VOTE
1 November 2012
The Tory Libdem government proposed that the EU budget for 2014-2020 should show “significant savings” and “increase at most by no more than inflation”
(Hansard 31 October 2012 column 295).
There was a backbench Tory amendment to change that: the EU budget should be “reduced in real terms”. The amendment was carried.
At the vote (column 341) all six Cornwall MPs voted against the amendment.
